When it comes to creating content for your website, you need to work smarter and not harder. What this means is that you need to narrow down the topics and words you include in the copy of your website to only include those which are relevant to your site’s visitors.

Find out how your site indexes for specific keywords and key phrases that people are searching. Create a list of keywords that you're strong in and can improve in. And then, write content using those words and phrases to attract even more traffic.
By looking at your keywords, you not only discover topics that your users are interested in, but you can also come up with possible questions they may have. For example, if the topic “swimming area” pops up at the top, then users may be interested in local swimming areas. You can then come up with questions like, "Is the swimming area clean? Does the swimming area have a beach? Does the swimming area have lifeguards?"
Ask yourself...does my site answer any of these questions? If not, make a point to answer those questions on interior pages of your site, or through blog writing! Being able to provide useful content that answers questions users are actually asking is a great way to improve your site’s overall ranking.
STUDY YOUR COMPETITION
When it comes to competing on the Internet, it’s simply not enough to focus on your website alone. You also need to focus on your competitor’s website as well. What is your competition doing to attract so many visitors to their site? What products or services do they offer? What types of calls-to-action do they have on their page? If your competition is always ranking higher, then see what they are doing and come up with a plan of action. You can learn a lot with a little research.
NEW CONTENT IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING
One of the easiest methods to improve traffic and search results is to add new and fresh content to your website. New content means more keywords that Google can index. It means you offer more authority on the subjects people are searching. It means more pages on your site. Pages of content are just one more piece of the very intricate puzzle Google uses to come up with site rankings.
You can add content by refreshing the information on already existing pages, keeping it up to date and relevant. Treat your website like you would treat the front office - keep it clean, updated and fresh so it makes a great first impression to potential customers. Explain your product and services thoroughly. One sentence explaining a cabin doesn't give the customer enough information. They want details, images, and rates right there on that page.
Another way to add new content is to add a blog to your site. Find guest writers that are willing to write for you, and write at least one article a month, preferably one new article a week! Answer those questions people are asking in 400-600 words.
