Web Design Trends for 2021

Is your website relevant? Does it have “curb appeal” when people click on your site? It is so important to realize that web design is responsible for almost  95% of a visitor’s first impression of your company. A site that has a great design will also serve to bring you more customers, and eventually more sales. This is why it is critical to incorporate a modern web design into your strategy for 2021.

VisionAmp Web Design is on top of the game when it comes to knowing what the modern trends are that loom on the horizon. We specialize in web design in Arkansas, Texas, Southern Missouri, and have been a part of close to 1000 website projects - big and small. We feel that the goal of a website should be established, measured, and held accountable. A website that doesn't bring you more leads or make you money is unacceptable.

2021 Considerations

Upcoming trends we are seeing include the use of white space, much like you would see in a magazine. White space helps move the visitors through your pages, flowing from one element to the next, creating a visual consistency where no element distracts from the page. This trend allows the eyes to rest, aiding in comprehension by defining relationships between the page elements.

Another trend is the use of dynamic scrolling. One popular version of dynamic scrolling uses different scrolling speeds on the site’s foreground and background, giving them a 3D effect. Also, the use of full-page headers is BIG! A popular design involves the use of key text or “call-to-action” buttons to the left side of the header, with eye catching images to match on the right. Most readers tend to focus most of their attention to the top left of the page; therefore, utilizing this natural trend is very beneficial.

The use of popular color trends, exploring color pallets and design can also determine the look of your website. In 2018 the trend was yellow. In 2020 the pantone color of the year was classic blue. For 2021 the industry seems to be fluxing between neon colors to aqua. It is important to realize there is a psychology behind every color used on a website. Your colors must match your brand.

Hundreds of VisionAmp’s clients have seen exponential growth over the years due to our use of current and upcoming web design trends. We are easy to work with, affordable, and produce amazing results! Below is our most common approach to website design:

1. Professional Design & Branding

Your website design is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle in terms of your business’s overall online health. We have found that users will leave your website in the first 6 - 8 seconds if they don't find you credible and if there is not a clear direction or call-to-action to what they are looking for. VisionAmp has spent countless hours analyzing how users interact with websites and we apply this experience to every site we build.

Here are some of our most recent designs:

2. Call-To-Actions

Think of every user that finds your website as a potential customer in search of information that you are responsible for providing. Some may want to browse around while others are ready to buy, call, or sign up. Either way, we need to be ready for all types of interactions that you may encounter. VisionAmp will help you determine the 3 - 4 main calls-to-action, set goals, and measure the performance of the next 120 days.

Call-to-action examples:

3. Rubix CMS (content management system)

Our content management system allows you to have control of the content of your website with an easy-to-use application that is available anywhere you have Internet access and on any device. VisionAmp will work with you in the beginning phases of the website build to determine which areas you will need to change often and provide training on how to update these areas. If you can compose an email or update Facebook, you are ready to use Rubix.

4. Measuring Results

We are extremely passionate about making your website work for you and that is why we are relentless in the pursuit of a well optimized converting website. VisionAmp believes that your website should be the center of your marketing efforts, and with that comes some accountability. Your website should be a salesperson that is working 24/7 for your business and just like a salesperson, we want to hold it accountable to the goals we have set out to achieve. Through tools like Graffitti Mapping and Google Analytics, VisionAmp will monitor and optimize your call-to-actions until we have a satisfactory conversion rate.
